About

Three women, the Asian Aunties

Asian Aunties is a volunteer group that started from a simple conversation over lunch and has grown into a twice-a-month commitment to prepare meals for about 35 women experiencing homelessness at WISEPlace in Santa Ana. Our group consists of three friends who share a passion for food and a desire to make a positive impact in our community. While our name may suggest otherwise, anyone is welcome to join us regardless of their age, gender, or ethnicity. What sets us apart is our diverse backgrounds and perspectives. As immigrants in America, we bring different nationalities and cultural influences to the table. Food has always played a significant role in our lives, not only as sustenance but also as a means of connection and love. In Asian cultures, sharing meals is a way to express friendship, kindness, and care. We believe that food is a powerful language of love and nourishment, and we are dedicated to using our culinary skills to support those in need.We are always looking for volunteers and partners to join us in our mission to provide nourishing and healthy meals for the women at WISEPlace. Your support, whether through monetary donations or donations of time, can make a real difference in the lives of the women experiencing homelessness on their journey toward self-reliance. Together, we can create a community that uplifts and supports one another, one meal at a time.Join Asian Aunties and help us spread love, one meal at a time. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.
